Women bring many strengths and gifts to the Church. Catholic Women are powerful instruments for taking the values of Christ into the world. Today's Catholic women, among the best educated in the history of the Church, possess immense potential for great service to Church, community, and the world.

The San Juan del Rio Council of Catholic Women Offers:

​

  • Spiritual enrichment opportunities 

  • Educational opportunities through SJDR CCW  & Parish programs, leadership training, St. Augustine Diocesan CCW convention & programs, electronic newsletters, member conference calls through the National Office, and advocacy and action alerts.

  • Active involvement and the opportunity to be in leadership roles, and have voice on important faith issues united with Catholic women across the US

  • Opportunities for every woman to participate, make new friends and connect with women interested in making a difference in their lives, communities and their world.

Dues for the 2019-20 Year: $25 New Members ($5 Goes to Name Tag); $20 Returning Members

A Word About DUES...

​

We collect dues to maintain our membership and affiliation status with the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, our local Deanery Council and the National office. Additionally, our dues afford us the ability to provide materials & refreshments for general meetings and the opportunity to sponsor and support parish and community-affiliated programs and activities including, but not limited to:

​

  • Annual SJDR High School Girls PINK Retreat

  • Ladies Auxiliary Patriotic Rosary Booklets

  • Our Lady of Good Counsel Food Pantry Holiday Bags

  • Annual Hugs for the Homeless Florida Council of Catholic Women Campaign

  • Thank You Gifts for Speakers at General Meetings (3 - 4 times/year)

  • Additional Materials and Refreshments at General Meetings (3 - 4 times/year)

The Council of Catholic Women does not maintain a bank account. We are required to spend any monies we collect throughout our operating year (July - June) by covering all CCW program-related expenses, donating to worthy organizations in our local community, and providing supplemental support to parish-related activities including support to fellow ministries when asked.
